The fact is, at some point when your heart stops throbbing you have to make a decision; "Today is the day I will care less about you." It's crazy how strong willed your brain is compared to your heart. Every day you wake up and you have to keep going and you have to smile and act okay and you can't just tell someone who asks, "What's up?" that you feel like your insides are coming out of your mouth, because that's not what they want to hear... they want to know you're okay. So, that's what we do... that's how we handle heart break... we lie until it's not a lie anymore.

Without a warning, he came into our lives. Each and every moment giving another reason to trust him. He was patient, it should have been a sign. He creeped into the farthest parts of our hearts, making all else seem unreal. He knew his mission and he was out to get us. Before we knew it, he was close companion; No longer a stranger to our world, but a beautiful addition. Everything made more sense with him there. Suddenly everything changed. One by one he swallowed us whole.

It's finally happened. I stopped waking up wanting to feel you next to me. Many moons ago, I would find your silhouette and bring you close to me. Sometimes, I'd feel that not even a nuclear bomb could hurt me when I was in your arms. Not this morning. It seems as if the two people we were would hate the two people we've become. Who are you? I don't recognize your smell and even less your look. I woke up happy it was no longer you. Today, I will walk away as if you and I never happened.

You know what I find utterly and completely fascinating? The love bug. I had never heard of them prior to my move to Orlando, FL, but they have become a familiar companion throughout my days here. Of course, if you are as uninformed as I was, you seize to understand my bewilderment. You see, the love bug was created by humans. It had the sole purpose of decreasing the amount of mosquitoes surround us, Floridians, on a daily basis. Yet, instead of consuming the mosquitos as it was engineered to do, the love bug entered our world and made a choice. Instinct took over, and now they surround us everywhere, having no effect on mosquitoes whatsoever and serving one purpose; surviving. Yes, everything above is incredibly fascinating, but what gets me, is the fact that science created something out of nothing and then suddenly that nothing had an instinct. Instinct, that for the longest time was considered Godly made, instinct...was created by man.
